When the knitting needles point to Madrid – the travel bug returns
Share
There are some days in the calendar that shine a little brighter than others. When we dropped the news in late November that we are heading back to Love Yarn Madrid this February, we felt it deep in our hearts. It is not just a festival; it is a celebration of colors, textures, and – most importantly – the amazing people who join us on the journey.
Do you remember when we posted the picture of the colorful Love Yarn Madrid logo? It feels like yesterday, but now the dates are fast approaching. On February 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2026, the Pabellón de Convenciones will be filled with woolly joy. We can’t wait to bring that unique Casa de Lana atmosphere to the capital, where we will be representing Kool Knits and, of course, bringing along lots of lovely yarn!
But what warmed us the most when we shared the news was the response from you. This is exactly what Casa de Lana is – not just the yarn on the shelves, but the conversations, the laughter, and the plans we make together.
We had to smile broadly when we saw the engagement in the comments section. Rannei was quick to rally the troops for a "little train ride," and we can already picture the gang on the train heading down, knitting in their laps and perhaps a glass of good wine in hand. That is the very definition of the good life!
And then we have poor Kajsa, who mentioned she is in Sweden skiing on those exact days. Kajsa, we feel for you! Even though Swedish ski slopes have their charm, we dare say a yarn party in Madrid (and the temperature there!) is slightly more tempting. We promise to send you warm thoughts and lots of pictures. We are counting on seeing Rigmor and the rest of the gang down there – ready for three days of pure inspiration.
For us in Alfaz del Pi, these trips are all about community. Meeting outside the shop, lowering our shoulders, and getting inspired by the world's most beautiful craft together.
