A Colorful Start to the Year: January Sales and Knitting Joy on the Costa Blanca

There is something truly special about January here in Alfaz del Pi. While the winter cold bites in the north, we are blessed with a milder light down here—perfect for sorting through yarn skeins, making room for new arrivals, and inviting good conversations over our knitting needles. Here is a little glimpse into our diary from earlier this week.

Filling the Baskets with Color

We started the week by filling our baskets to the brim with colorful temptations. There is always a unique atmosphere in the shop when we kick off the January sale. The photo above captures the moment perfectly: baskets overflowing with soft textures in everything from deep ochre yellow to sky blue and delicate pastels—ready to become your new favorite garments.

Watching our customers dive into these "treasure chests" with 40–80% off, hunting for exactly the right shade for their next project, gives us so much joy. It is all about the anticipation of what you are about to create.

It’s All About the People

But Casa de Lana is, as you know, more than just a yarn shop. It is a meeting place. We were so touched by the response we received on Facebook this week. As Line so beautifully wrote in the comments:
