When the Christmas Spirit Took Over Casa de Lana

They say that Christmas lasts until Easter, but here at Casa de Lana, we like to live on good memories for as long as possible. Now, as I scroll through the photo archive from December, I can almost smell the scent of hot cocoa and gingerbread wafting through the screen. Do you remember that Saturday in early December when we transformed the shop into a bona fide Christmas market?

December 6th, 2025, was a day filled with what we love the most: Homemade handcrafts and amazing people. The sun was shining over Alfaz del Pi (as it often does), but inside, we had a cozy holiday atmosphere from floor to ceiling—and spilling well out into the street.

There is something truly special about seeing the result of hundreds of hours spent with knitting needles. The tables were bursting with treasures! We had everything from charming felted figures singing in a choir on the shelf to humorous knitted beanies (did anyone manage to snag that "Grinch" hat?). And not to forget the incredibly cute knitted mice with skis on their feet – they absolutely melted our hearts!

More Than Just Shopping

But a Christmas market at Casa de Lana is about more than just buying gifts. It is about the chat over a cup of mulled wine, the laughter flowing freely, and the warmth of coming together. We held a raffle to benefit the food bank in Alfaz, and your enthusiasm warmed our hearts. Being able to combine a passion for yarn with giving back to the local community is exactly what "Life at Casa de Lana" is all about.

We received so much lovely feedback, both from those of you who popped in for a chat and those who found this year's Christmas gifts at our stalls. Grethe commented that there were "so many beautiful things," and we couldn't agree more – all thanks to the talented hands that were hard at work in the months leading up to Christmas.
